Another missing man - Chermside

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man reported missing from Chermside this morning.

74-year-old Vincent McDonnell was last seen around 11.00am when he left a health facility on Rode Road, Chermside on foot.

Mr McDonnell has not been in contact with his family and has not been seen since.

Police hold concerns for his welfare as he suffers from a medical condition and his behaviour is out of character.

He is described as being Caucasian in appearance, approximately 175cm tall, 100kg, with grey/white shoulder length hair, a distinct moustache and brown eyes.

He was wearing a grey t-shirt with black or grey long pants, and believed to be in possession of a red backpack and a walking stick.

 
Anyone who may have seen Mr McDonnell is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Missing man - Chermside

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a 32-year-old man reported missing from Chermside since yesterday.

Scott Gordon Chant (pictured) left a Kingsmill Street address around 10.40am yesterday and has not made contact with family and friends since.

Police and family hold serious concerns for his well-being as he suffers from a medical condition and requires regular medication. He also left his phone and wallet at home.

Scott is Caucasian, about 180cm tall with a thin build, black shaven hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, grey jeans and no shoes.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on              1800 333 000.

Cr Fiona King has recently written to residents who live in the vicinity of the proposed development at 705-707 Hamilton Road and 137 Maundrell Tce, Chermside West.

The development is proposed for multiple dwellings consisting of 5 townhouses and 17 units and the block will be reconfiguring 3 into 8 lots.

Reminder - NHW Update meeting tonight 4 Feb

A reminder that the next Carseldine 6 NHW Update meeting will be held Thursday 4th of February at the Craigslea State School P&C Building at 7.30 pm.

The P&C building is situated at the rear of the school.

Car parking - please use the western car park near the swimming pool. You can then walk through the covered play area to the last building on the left.

Guest Speaker will be Dr Anthony Lynham MP, State Member for Stafford, Minister for State Development and Minister for Natural Resources and Mines.

Dr Lynham has fitted us into his busy schedule so come along and meet informally with our local State Member of Parliament, ask him a question or two about matters which affect us regarding NHW and government initiatives generally.
